My mother and two friends have written a book called "Holes in Our Shoes". They grew
up during "The Great Depression" of the 1930s. The book is a collection of
stories about living and surviving that time, told with humor and fondness. It
is wonderfully written and will make you laugh out loud. Folks who also lived through
it, will recognize themselves in its pages. It is a great gift too. Just
